Making a case for intuitive practice as a resolute stance (rather than affect), post-intentionality plays out in two ways in Soft Eyes; as material process and as narrative fragment.Part One Soft Eyes included work by three Melbourne artists who use abstract plasticity for its material and metaphorical relationship to the unforeseen. Part Two Soft Eyes features work by Melbourne artists Rebecca Joseph and Sean Peoples, Melbourne writer S.T.Lore, Aukland artist Tahi Moore and London based, New Zealand artist Milli Jannides.
This second part of Soft Eyes project considers associative thinking following narrative fragments. Idiosyncratic languages of symbolism and floating signifiers collide free of conceptual stacking or reductive frameworks. Two texts by Holly Childs accompanied the exhibition.
